Winter Activities

It may have been slow in coming - but winter is here and how! The Copper Harbor X-C Ski trails and tracked and groomed and the showshoe trails are great. The snowmobile trails are groomed and in fantastic condition. Mount Bohemia is open with all runs going. Folks are ice fishing on the harbor and Lake Fanny Hooe is fully frozen. Come up and play!

Well we lost some snow with the rain last week. The rain did turn into snow and there is some out there, and more on the way!!

The snow took it's time to get here but has finally made it. The cross-country trails are being groomed as well as the snowmobile trails.

Coffeehouse closing for season

This is the last day the coffeehouse will be open until next spring. Thank you for your patronage!

~Don't forget, guests still get wonderful free coffee in the mornings.

Autumn welcomes the trees new colors. The change has begun and will be putting on it's annual show over the next couple of weeks. Come up to enjoy the gorgeous hues of golds, reds, and russets!

September - A great time to visit

If you're thinking about a getaway, September is a great time to visit Copper Harbor! The weather is beautiful, the bugs are gone and it's a little quieter than July and August. Come on up!

Can't believe it's another year. The New Years Eve fireworks celebration in the park were spectacular as always!

Unfortunately the weather is horrible, rain and warm temps. The snow is pretty much gone but there is a whole bunch on the way - keep your fingers crossed, do the snow dance, whatever it takes!

The Bears

Well this is what happens when you forget to take the bird feeder in at night! Bears love birdseed. Because we forget now and then, we bought this kind of feeder so it can be bent back into shape instead of ruined for good.

Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July fireworks were as great as ever with even more big 12" shells! We watched the fireworks from the yard. The grand finale is shown here exploding around our sign. Cool.

Independence Day is always fun the harbor. There is a parade in the morning followed by kids games and the Copper Harbor VFD has a cookout with hot dogs brats and corn on the cob. Then of course the best part is the wonderful fireworks show sponsored by CHIA and put on by our VFD from Porter's Island.
